ITEC Isafe one safety flooring to ladies & gents toilets at Brewdog Birmingham

Brewdog Birmingham called us in due to problems they were experiencing with their original flooring that was laid when the bar opened its doors. The flooring was around a year old, but there was evidence of moisture coming from the sub-floor and from spills, causing the floor to come up and break apart. Upon investigation we found that the screed underneath had broken from the sub-floor and was crumbling away.

Happy Feet Floors uplifted the old flooring, applied a paint on damp proof membrane [DPM], and installed a high quality smoothing screed to give a good surface for the final flooring. We then installed an ITEC Isafe One safety safety floor in both area, and applied a silicon seal around the edges to stop any moisture from above getting under the floor.

Brushed and lacquered A103 engineered wood supply and install

Mrs C was looking for a hard wearing and durable wood flooring for her lounge that leads out on to the garden. We looked at the shades of oak available and finished and the decision was made to go for the A103 brushed and lacquered engineered oak as the finish is hard-wearing and durable and doesn't show scratches as much as a flat lacquered product.

The finished floor looks wonderful and was completed in under a day, with solid oak beading around the edges of the room and the hallway door trimmed to fit.

We also repaired a small bit of damage to some old laminate flooring in the hallway without charge.

Hi Ben I absolutely love the floor. The guys were great, extremely professional and efficient. My elderly mum has dementia and wanders quite a bit but they were sensitive to her needs which I really appreciated.

Parador Trendtime 6 oak light grey 2 v groove laminate flooring to a flat in London

Cat and Andreas were moving to a new flat in central London with stunning views accross the city. They were looking to do some internal building works to expand the feeling of space, and compliment that with a floor that could run seamlessley through all non bathroom areas.

The cool grey shade of the Trendtime 6 oak light grey from Parador was chosen to provide a modern sophisticated look, with long wide boards to flow down the long hallway and lead the eyes to the amazing view through the patio windows. The decision was made to go for the 2v groove board to avoid breaking up the continual flow as you look down the room.

Chosing a laminate floor from Parador means that they can be assured on the level of quality and workmanship, backed up with  a 25 year warranty, edge swell protection against minor spills, and a micro scratch resistance for long lasting durability.

The finished floor looks stunning, and combined with the interior decoartion and furniture really does present a stylish yet practical home.

Brockway Avanti Stripe Fern to a hall, stairs and landing in Birmingham

Dorothy came to the shop looking for a change to the plain carpet that had been down in the hall, stairs and landing for a number of years. She wanted something hard-wearing to take a decent amount of foot traffic and with a green striped element to it.

The colour Fern in the Avanti Stripe range from Brockway was chosen as the shades of greens and neutrals were to taste, and furthermore, choosing a Brockway carpet means you are buying from a high quality manufacturer, who produce carpets built to stand the test of time.

The samples from our Brockway display stand were taken to Dorothy's home and put against the stairs to make sure they looked good in the home. We then arranged for the uplift and removal of the existing carpet, replacement underlay, and the supply and installation of the new carpet.

V4 EG104 installed to the lounge and diner in Moseley

Mrs H was looing for a wide board product for a grand house in Moseley with high ceilings and a wide rooms of over 6 meters.

The EG104 Oak Rustic Natural Oiled floor from V4 was chosen due to the 240mm extra wide boards, as this avoids too many planks running across the width of the room, which is not to everyones taste. The boards are also 1.9m long and suited the long expansse of 9m stretching through the lounge and dining room.

The EG104 has a beautiful appearance and a high quality finish with a 30 year domestic warranty. The boards are 21mm thick with a 6mm oak wear laying, allowing the opportunity to sand and refinish in the future if required.

Happy Feet Floors have the EG104 available to view in our central Birmingham showroom, and samples can be ordered by contacting us.

Engineered lacquered oak flooring supplied and fitted to whole house in Sutton Coldfield

Mr & Mrs H had visited a large national flooring retailor and ourselves after deciding that they wanted the whole house supplied and installed with engineered wood flooring. They were keen to go with a local Sutton Coldfield company, but wanted an idea of what the price would be from a multi-location retailer also. Happy Feet Floors offered a better price, along with closer attention to detail and a higher level of service.

The job took a little longer than expected due to some of the original timber sub-floor being bowed and in poor condition, but we rectified the issue and produced a low maintenance floor that looks stunning and meet the needs on the whole family. We also supplied and installed a carpet for the stairs

We wanted our whole house in oak wooden flooring, approached happy feet along with another high street offering but we're pleased that happy feet were the most competitive. Everything was taken care of, the fitters were first class- just the finish we had hoped for. In addition we needed a few changes after the installation which were all taken care of immediately. I would highly recommend Alex and his team.

Moduelo Transform Azuriet and grout strips supplied and fitted in Edgesbaston kitchen

Mrs S contacted Happy Feet Floors through our website, looking for advise on luxury vinyl flooring and design ideas to complement her pending kitchen installation. We supplied our large Moduleo samples from our store display stand, which give a great impression of how the finished floor will look. The sub-floor was chipboard underneath, so we used a flooring grade plywood and then Ardex feather finish in the joints and screw holes. We then laid out some of the rectangular tiles so that Mrs S could decide which laying pattern she wanted, and then fitted the Moduleo Tranform Azuriet and grout strips with a pressure sensitive adhesive.

I was very pleased with the service provided by Alex from the point of enquiry all the way to completion. The fitters were polite and courteous. They took a great deal of time to clean up and sought my views on choices and decisions. Highly recommend Happy Feet!

Supply of Fibre Flooring Wool Herringbone colour Pigeon

Kathy came to happy Feet Floors through our website page for Fibre Flooring, and after receiving samples that she had requested, and order was placed for a Fibre Flooring product, the beautifully made Wool Herringbone in colour Pigeon. We supplied the carpet to Kathy, along with suitable dense underlay for this type of product, and gave advise about selecting a good quality fitter who had experience with fitting flat weave carpets.

Delighted with the service from Happy Feet - they were able to give specific advice on fitting and offered a very competitive price.

Alternative flooring quirky B shuttle silas as a runner on double stairs 1

Mrs N was looking for a stand out carpet for her double stairs and mid-landing, showing off the condition of the original stairs. After having looked at the range of Quirky B samples from our in store BE Retailer stand, several samples were taken home to put on the stairs to get a feel of how they would look. The Shuttle Silas design from Margo Selby was chosen as the winner.

Mrs N wanted the stairs to be installed as central runners with whipped edges and then fully covered on the landing. The job required a great deal of planning and several measurments to make sure everything was cut and ordered correctly.

We spent the first visit getting the carpets cut up to size for the stairs and winders and then a second fit to install everything.

The finished results really show off the Quirky B range and look amazing in the house.

Supply of V4 A112 Engineered Oak Flooring

John came to our showroom looking for advice on different flooring types and to look at the samples we had in our Wylde Green showroom. After spending some time taking samples away, John descided on the A112 Oak Rustic Oiled engineered wood floor from V4.

We also supplied John with some levelling compound, and overall he has done a great job and is very pleased with the product and service received.

In fact, John just came back to us for some more floor and some maintenance products.

Following completion of a recently built orangery extension to the dinning room we decided to fit an engineered oak floor. We visited Happy Feet in Sutton Coldfield and chose the V4 A112 engineered oak flooring which I installed myself. We found Alex to be most helpful in helping choosing the right product for the job and providing professional advice on how to level and install the floor which greatly contributed to the successful outcome. I have no hesitation in recommending Happy Feet.

Supply of Parador Trendtime 2 Wine and Fruits Rustic

Pauline found happy feet floors through our website listing for Parador Trendtime 2 laminate flooring. We agreed on a very good price and arranged for the goods to be sent to her.

Pauline's builder installed the floor and did a cracking job....there was even some left over the clad the kitchen counter.

Hi Alex
My lovely floor before the skirting boards were painted and my furniture arrived. I have had many comments on how unusual but also how lovely it looks.... I'll send other photos of the breakfast bar tomorrow.. It looks fabulous and great way to use up spare boards
Many thanks to both yourself and Ben who was also most helpful with regard to the delivery.

Amtico signature glint void with glint orb 3mm strips to a kitchen

Mrs S came to Happy Feet Floor with a clear idea of the product that she wanted and how she wanted the floor to look. We discussed the area to be installed and arranged to come over with samples and to see the sub-floor and do a moisture check.

Upon arriving and checking the moisture and rough condition of the current sub-floor, the decision was made to prepare the floor by applying a coat of Ardex NA smoothing compound, following by an Ardex paint on damp proof membrane, and then a final coat of Ardex NA, leaving the floor ready for the Amtico installation.

The installation was completed in an afternoon, and the finished results look amazing and we have a very happy customer.

Woodpecker goodrich herringbone to a sitting room

The customer had existing original herringbone flooring in other parts of the property and wanted to continue the style in to the sitting room. The engineered goodrich range from woodpecker allows the floor to be installed as a floating floor over the top of an underlay. The top oak surface is pre-finished with a brushed and oiled texture, and therefore does not require any sanding and sealing after installation.

Karndean Da Vinci Arno Smoked Oak rp92 to lounge in Sutton Coldfield

Mrs C came to Happy Feet Floors looking for a luxury vinyl product to add a real wow factor to the lounge flooring. We looked at the different samples in store and ordered a few bigger samples from Karndean to give a better idea of the overall look. Arno smoked oak was chosen from the da vinci range, which is a narrow plank with a bevelled edge and a very distinctive dusky character. We first installed a 6mm ply wood designed for use with luxury vinyl planks, then applied a feather finish to the ply joints to give a smooth base, and finally installed the da vinci flooring. The effect is stunning and has a very natural look and feel.

Work was carried out to a very high standard and professionalism maintained at all times. The workers were extremely friendly, polite and efficient. Alex, the manager has been most helpful and insured all was going smoothly with regular updates. I would recommend this friendly business to anyone.

Luxury vinyl from polyflor supplied and installed

Lucy was looking for a clean and attractive alternative to carpet for new build house in wylde green, sutton coldfield. We looked through the options available within the required budget and the choice came down to laminate or luxury vinyl flooring.  After some deliberation, Lucy and her partner decided to go for luxury vinyl, as this meant they could avoid beading around the edges and didn't need to have the skirting removed and refitted. We applied a primer and screed to the hallway and lounge area, and ply boarded over the chipboard in the bedroom. We then installed the flooring with lighter grout strips between the planks to add character. The finished product looks wonderful, and shows the flexibility of luxury vinyl planks.

The Happy Feet Floors team guided me through the process from start to finish, and the goal from all sides seemed to be the most suitable floor for us, rather than pushing any particular product on to us. Thoroughly happy with the overall effect and finish, and after a year of heavy use, not a mark on the floor and looking as good as the day it was installed.

Knight Tile Orkney to kitchen with DS15 design strip

Dr J was looking for a hard-wearing practical floor to complement a recent kitchen refurbishment. His sister has had Karndean Knight Tile in woodplank effect for a few years, and had recommended the product. They had ordered some small samples online and then visited the Karndean showroom in Evesham, before making the product decision.

We applied a damp proof membrane to the floor due to the age of the property, and then levelled over using smoothing compound to provide the perfect surface for installing the Karndean Knight Tile.

The finished installation complements the decor of the kitchen, and transforms the space.

A rather old fashioned, dated kitchen has been transformed into an area in which it is a pleasure to work. I am delighted with the work done by happy feet and their fitters.

Weston hammer natural lines installed to two bedroom

Mark and his wife had ordered some sample of various loop pile carpets from Alternative Flooring and Crucial Trading. I introduced them to the Weston Hammer range, in particular the Natural Lines range which is a deep and luxurious straight loop pile carpet. The photos don't quite do the carpet the full justice it deserves, so make sure you come and view the samples in one of our stores.

Alex and his colleagues did a great job of finding the high quality carpets which we had seen in expensive ranges but at a much better price. This meant that we were able to have the top of the range look and feel that we wanted and still stay in budget. They couldn't have been more helpful throughout and the fitters we friendly, courteous and did a great job. I would have no hesitation in using Happy Feet Floors Ltd again or in recommending them

Amtico spacia new england oak with jet feature strip

Jo came to us after visiting the website and seeing that we dealt with Amtico Spacia flooring. She was looking for either a tile or wood effect flooring to go with her high gloss cupboards and solid wood block kitchen surface. After looking at the options, she chose the new england oak in the spacia range, and a jet feature strip that complemented the cupboards and bought the whole design together. The finished result really makes the most of the design possibilities of amtico spacia flooring.

Alex made the whole process from initial enquiry to finished floor very simple and seamless. I had no real idea what I was looking for but Alex gave me ideas and suggestions both in terms of type and style of floor to various price options. I would definitely use Happy Feet again.

Polyflor Camaro Nut Tree in herringbone parquet and full plank tramlines with borders

The customer came to us looking for a hard-wearing floor for the entrance and living areas of their home. We looked at the options available, and they were drawn to the Camaro luxury vinyl flooring from Polyflor, due to its durability and the ability to customise the design and have a truly bespoke floor. We looked at a number of different design options, and it was decided that Nut Tree would be the wood of choice, with a herringbone parquet installation, two plank border and contrasting feature strips in the hallway, and the same planks used in the dining room and larger lounge in a different pattern. The finished results are a testament to workmanship and design.

We had our lounge, dining room, hall and downstairs cloakroom floors fitted with Camaro flooring. We had excellent service from the beginning to the end of this project. The product is very good, the fitting was excellent and overall we are very pleased with the result. Would thoroughly recommend Happy feet floors.

Engineered and solid golden oak to downstairs room, stairs and landing, and carpet to bedroom

Jay & Jessie came to us looking for the right type of flooring for the different areas of their new home. Initially, they bought their floor plans in to our Wylde Green shop, and we looked at a range of products and put some costing together. After deciding on the products, we did a full measure of the home and finalised the costings and finishing touches. Jessie fell in love with one of our engineered woods, a golden hanscraped oak, and this was chosen for the downstairs of the house. We found a matching golden oak solid wood that could be used for the landing and overlaid on to the existing staircase. The edges of the boards were routered to give a rounded edge and avoid any stair nosings. We installed a thick and luxurious stainfree carpet into the bedrooms, and finished the installation with golden oak stained doorbars and white beading [pre-painted by the customer] to give the perfect finish. The results are breathtaking and give a real grandeur to family home.

We wanted to drop you a line to let you know how pleased we are with our oak flooring/staircase and carpet.
After deciding that we wanted oak flooring, we researched various firms as wanted to make sure we worked with someone we could trust and would deliver what we wanted. I have to say, we are extremely pleased with the overall service we received from you and your team. You delivered on every promise, the final invoice essentially mirrored the original quote, the quality of finish superb and the after service has also been excellent as promised.

Spacia Honey Oak to a nursery

Mr & Mrs S came to us after having searched online for a reliable company who could supply and install Spacia flooring for them. Karndean Knight Tile to kitchen

Mr & Mrs N were looking for a hard-wearing easy clean floor solution, with the abilityto withstand heavy traffic and pets. The Knight Tile range from Karndean was selected as the 10-year warranty was adequate and the selected product matched perfectly with the newly installed kitchen. We first applied a floor levelling compound to achieve a perfect laying surface, then came the installation with a striking grout strip to lift the overall look of the tiles.

Happy Feet Floors gave a great quote and followed up with impeccable service and workmanship. They put down a damp proof membrane and screened the floor before commencing the installation. Overall we are happy with the installation and have recommended them to several of our friends.

Polysafe hydro evolve amazon installed with cap and cove to domestic bathroom

Mr B was looking for an anti-slip flooring to be installed to newly created wet room for his elderly parents. We looked through some sample cards and they selected a good colour to match the tiles going in. We provided the tiler with the capping strips so that he could fit those at the base of the tiles. After that we got in to lay a liquid damp proof membrane and screed the floor, and after giving sufficient drying time we laid the safety floor with coving and up towards the capping strips. The finished flooring is watertight, hygenic and anti-slip.

From start to finish our experience with Happy Feet was exceptional. Knowledgable of our needs and suggestions were of a professional supplier who was not looking to "sell up". Alex in the shop was very helpful and the fitter arrived on time and again was very professional, clean and tidy. I would have no hesitation in recommending Happy Feet.

Alternative flooring - rock n roll - back in black installation

Paula and her husband had seen the back in black carpet in the rock n roll collection from Alternative Flooring and were looking to have it installed in the hall, stairs and landing of their period property. The installation was large and fairly complex with special attention required to match up stripes and plan the most efficient way of using the carpet cuts. We suggested the addition of a heavy duty black entrance mat to reduce the amount debris brought on to the landing carpet. The finished effect gives a stunning look and feel to the property and adds a real wow factor upon entering the front door.

I am so pleased we chose Happy Feet Floors to supply and fit our hall, stairs and landing carpet. Alex came to see us straight away with samples, quoted a fair price and even managed to organise the fitting at short notice just before Christmas. I would recommend this company to anyone seeking a professional flooring service.

Engineered golden oak, hand-scraped and oiled

After searching for the right look to complement their existing decor, the Ash's visited our shop and selected a few possible flooring options for their hall and dining room. They decided on our 18mm thick random length engineered oak with a hand distressed and brushed texture. We installed the floor over existing floorboards with an underlay to improve the sound and heat installation. We also installed solid oak beading, which we stained to match the floor and complement the existing dark skirting board.

The advice we received on the right choice of wood for our hall and dining room floor was spot on and the job when completed looks absolutely spectacular. Alex was very helpful and provided a very professional service. Definitely recommend

Mr Ash - Sutton Coldfield

Engineered oak wood floor on an uneven floor

Dave and his wife contacted us looking for a hard wearing wooden floor covering for their home. They had a slight issue with floor levels between the living room and lounge, which we investigated during the site inspection. After discussing the options, we decided to install a small ramp between the two areas rather than undertake major level work. They decided to go for a random length 150 wide 18mm thick engineered oak. We finished the job with new skirting board in solid oak with an oiled finish.

I must admit prior to having the wooden flooring completed, I was concerned regarding warmth and of course, my dog's comfort (a black Labrador). The fitting was done very professionally and with the minimum of disruption (less than I expected). The rooms and hallway are lighter, look larger and have retained the warmth. Every visitor has commented on how good everything looks and I know that the neighbours are considering doing the same. A big plus is that the floor is easy to keep clean and the bugs can't hide in it!!!

Autumn Oak/Rural Oak Engineered Wood

Mr & Mrs Taylor contacted us after a recommendation from a friend and previous customer. They were looking to have the same flooring installed to a few rooms in their house. The installation required some minor levelling work, but we managed to use a fast-drying product and complete the installation in one day.

Happy Feet were a pleasure to deal with providing great communication and advise from the start. The team did a thoroughly professional job laying the floor with great attention to detail and I'm incredibly happy with the final result. Top job, many thanks.

Wood Flooring, Striped Carpet and Decking

John and Theresa came to us initially as they had purchased a golden oak solid wood at the Interiors show in Birmingham and were looking to have it fitted professionally. The golden oak was a product that we distributed also, and we were subsequently asked back to supply and fit the dining room and the hallway with the same flooring. We faced some challenges on the job and offered a bespoke service to stain our own solid wood beading and doorbars to match the floor colour.

John and Theresa contacted us again looking for some striped carpet and inspiration for their hall and landing. They visited our flooring shops to view the ranges and decided on a narrow striped loop pile carpet, which our own qualified fitters installed for them.

We have also completed an extensive 40sqm area of raised decking, with built in lights and feature area for some existing small trees.

We have used Alex and the guys for several years now. They have supplied and fitted oak flooring to our entire downstairs, supplied and fitted carpet to our stairs and landing, and finally supplied and fitted our garden decking. Every time they have done a fantastic job. We are now about to use them to re carpet our bedrooms. They are the most professional and customer-focused company we have ever dealt with. We couldn't praise them enough.

Solid Oak Flooring, Engineered Flooring, Carpets and Luxury Vinyl

The Barshams were faced with the task of doing a great deal of internal and external maintenance work to their house. We were chosen to take care of the flooring requirements after a comparison of our price and perceived quality.

Over a period of around 18 months we have installed:

  • solid oak flooring to 8 rooms and a landing
  • engineered floor to the grand entrance area
  • Polyflor Camaro luxury vinyl planks to the en-suite
  • Brintons lightly patterned carpet to the stairs.

One feature of this house was the large expanse of floor area that needed upgrading from tiles & carpet, so we were looking for a high quality of wooden flooring at a competitive price. We chose Alex's team because his proposal fulfilled both those requirements. The work was carred out in phases, the installers were invariably polite and professional, and we are very pleased with the result.

Mr Barsham

Carpets and Solid Oak Flooring Throughout a Property

Mark & Situl approached us looking for a range of flooring for their new house in Solihull. They wanted advice on the most suitable types of flooring in different areas, and something that would stand the test of time. We supplied and installed solid brushed and lacquered oak flooring for the hallway and dining room as they required hard wearing floor that would take a lot of traffic.

In the lounge where they wanted something more comfortable we installed a luxuriously deep 60oz 100% wool carpet, with a thick underlay to give the ultimate underfoot softness. On the stairs, we recommended an on trend thin-striped wool mix carpet, which gives a really modern look to the entrance of the house, whilst being hard wearing and practical.

In the bedrooms, they went for a thick pile man-made fibre carpet which is easy to clean and retains its looks for many year, whilst being at an economical price point.

The customer service was first class. The initial advice we had in store was very helpful. Following this they brought samples to our home to help us decide upon the correct flooring. The fitting of the flooring was done to a very high standard by a friendly team. We would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

Solid Golden Oak and Stained Solid Skirting

Mrs Paul contacted us looking for someone to supply and install a wow factor flooring for the hallway and dining room in the family’s new home. We visited the property with samples, measured the areas to be floored and inspected the sub-floor. It was a part timber, part concrete sub-floor and therefore required some specific work to make the sub-floor ready to receive a floor covering. After the customer had selected our solid hand scraped golden oak, we prepared the sub-floor and commenced the installation. Along with the flooring, we installed new 6 inch solid oak skirting board, which we stained to match the floor colour.

Parquet Floor Installation, Studley, West Midlands

Vanessa and Jim contacted Happy Feet Floors and asked us to come over to look at the different options available for them to install wooden flooring to their lounge. They had a particular preference for parquet block flooring and asked us to bring some samples and possible patterns. We showed them the various pre-finished woods we have available, along with our herringbone parquet display board.

They chose to go with the parquet floor, and upon agreement of price and fitting dates, we were all set to go. We delivered the wood to site in advance to allow acclimatisation, and on the first day of work we removed the skirting board, applied a damp proof membrane and screeded the floor to achieve a level laying surface. The following 2 days were taken up by the installation of the main field area, cutting in the edge blocks and laying a 2 block border. Next came the process of sanding and sealing the floor with Bona Traffic Lacquer.  Finally, we re-fitted the skirting board to cover the expansion gap that we had left and installed a solid oak ramp bar to transition between the lounge and the vinyl planks in the hallway. We supplied felt pads to go under furniture and cleaning products to maintain the floor and keep it looking as good as knew.

The final floor looks great, and with care will last for many generations.

Alternative flooring quirky dotty lime stair runner

Mr & Mrs H fell in love with the quirky dotty lime and wanted it as a runner to go up their stairs. The quirky runner gives a real wow factor flooring and is uk made using the wilton production technique. The quirky range can be used as runner, combined to make larger rugs, or even seamed together to make wall-to-wall carpets.

Alternative flooring sisal boucle byfield runner and sitting room

Mr & Mrs E first came to us looking for a hard-wearing floor covering for their sitting room. They wanted something bold with a designer edge and moved towards one of the alternative flooring sisals. We installed the sisal using the double stick installation method and a commercial quality underlay.

After some time, Mr & Mrs E returned to us to get a runner in the same material for their stairs and landing, with a cotton border. The stairs presented a challenge and a few measures and head-scratching was required in order to get a neat and accurate plan, from which alternative flooring then edged all of the peices individually. The installation was then done using the double-stick method with commercial grade underlay, all as recommended by the manufacturer.

The result is stunning and adds a real air of class and design.

We are really pleased with the look of the stair runner and the service we received. Alex came round on several occassions bringing samples and measuring the stairs so that we could get the look we wanted. The results are really worth the effort.
