Karndean

Why Choose Karndean Flooring?

Kardean flooring is a hard-wearing and durable form of vinyl flooring. The flooring ranges that Karndean offer are often indistinguishable from the natural coverings that they replicate.

Karndean flooring avoids some of the practical drawbacks of using natural materials, and proves to be very easy to clean and maintain.

The ranges combine woods, stones, tiles and even bricks to create truly original flooring.

Luxury Vinyl

Luxury vinyl is the broad name for the range of products that come as individual vinyl tiles or planks. They are laid individually as with real tile or wood planks, and can be combined together or with grout and edging strips or borders to create a truly bespoke flooring design. Our showroom is equipped with a large range of samples from a number of manufacturers, along with a design area where you can combine the different tiles and planks with grout strips and see how the finished flooring will look. We carry luxury vinyl flooring from KarndeanAmticoPolyflorCamaroSpacia, LG, C & H, Distinctive, MFLOR, etc

When you are thinking of buying luxury vinyl, it is important to remember that the most important factor for achieving a high quality finish is the proper preparation of the sub-floor. As a professional installer of luxury vinyl, we can ensure that you achieve a high quality look and feel to your flooring.

Karndean Cleaning Instructions

Karndean Flooring includes the added protection of the K Guard + system, designed to increase the strength and durability of your flooring and defend it from minor scratches and damage that can detract from the overall appearance. Once your floor has been installed you can use a brush or vacuum to remove loose debris , then remove any adhesive left on the surface, and finally apply a damp mop with a pH neutral cleaner.

For routine cleaning, follow the same process as for the initial cleaning, but there shouldn't be any adhesive left on the surface. It is important not to use bleach or other general household cleaners as this can damage the surface of your flooring. Over time, if you wish to renew the coating of K- Guard +, you can do this by following the standard cleaning process, and then using the Karndean stripper to clean off any grease and stubborn debris, next rinse the floor thoroughly, and finally apply two to three coats of Karndean Refresh allowing each coat to dry before the next application. A routine clean can then be done on the refreshed flooring.

Happy Feet Floors recommend purchasing a Karndean cleaning starter kit with your flooring, which includes stripper, floor cleaner, protector, applicator, pads, furniture protectors and an instruction kit. Happy Feet Floors also recommend the use of good quality entrance matting at all external doorway to prevent dirt and debris entering in to the home.
